The Port hatch support on Hanaleis' forward hatch stripped it's locking knob threads this weekend. Looked like galvanic corrison between the stainless knob threads and the aluminium support.
Anyone have an idea where I can buy a new support? Does Bomar have a website? Any help would be appreciated....

Re: Bomar hatch supports.....
Dave,
Bomar is owned by Pompanette; search for Pompanette, then you'll get to Bomar from their site. I have purchased parts and hatches over the last few years. They should be able to tell you who to order from locally. Our chandler here has been able to buy replacement odds and ends for me.

Re: Bomar hatch supports.....
Dave,
By the way, I had to replace the same part on a smaller hatch on my CD22 several years ago. Naturally, both bolts holding the support had become completely attached to the hatch frame; had to break them off and drill them out, then re-tap for new bolts. Hope you have better luck.

Dave,
Here's Bomar's customer service e-mail address: Bomar@Pompanette.com This should also get you to the site. They were very cooperative and timely in my inquiry about screens. You can order on-line from their website. Good Luck!

Re: Bomar hatch supports.....
I bought replacements at the local West Marine store. They're not cheap.
