I'm looking at a Typhoon to purchase and the one I'm interested in does not have a head. It has the intake and dicharge fiitings. Can anyone tell me where I may be able to get a head for this boat or do I have to have the fittings sticking out and put in a porta-potti?

This is the first time I have heard of a Ty with fittings for a head. My Typhoon had a marine head that I removed when I got the boat. I bought bronze caps for each of the two fitting and put in a porta potti. The porta potti fits in the same space where the head was located. I think you'll find that most areas do not allow a direct discharge due to local environmental restrictions. It is better in my opinion to cap off these fittings than to remove the thru hull fittings and fill in the holes. My 2 cents says Porta Potti's are also a bother. We use a 3 gal white pail and got the seat for these that is available from West Marine and others. A package of plastic bags lives nearby and we just keep several overlapped in place in the pail. Easy to grab one (or two for safety) and dispose of. Fits just perfectly in that space. We think it's easier than teaching everyone the in's and out's of Porta Potti's.
