cd-25 head optional?

Re: cd-25 head optional?
Hey Danno:
I believe at least in the early years the CD 25s came with a place to put a head, but no head. A lot of Cd 25s including my 77 model have 5 gallon recirculating heads. I assume, but don't really know, that these were avalible as a factory option. I don't find find them to be as bad as they sound although I recall one post to this sight that pronounced them to be unusable. In any case you can install a small holding tank under the vee berth just aft of the water tank. My brother installed one there. I believe his was 15 gallons.
Best of Luck

Danno,
I have a 1981 25' CD and it came with a portapotti.....I think I would prefer a head with holding tank..
Good luck...

Danno:
My 1977 CD25 did not have a head when purchased. I've just completed the installation of a Jabsco brand head in the space CD provided. Reinforced the existing water tank in the bow and converted it for use as a holding tank. Made a fiberglass/epoxy tank for flush water (also installed in the bow) to avoid another thru-hull and to better balance the boat.
Not an easy job but not technically difficult.
