'Dri-Plug' alive and well...

Hello to All;
There were several previous posts about the British made 'Dri-Plug' and 'Dri-Coax', and problems trying to find one in the US. Most stateside companies have stopped carrying the popular plugs...it is however available directly from Shamrock Chandlery in the UK. I ordered a two pin plug and cap assembly last week and got it today in the mail; cost was about $19 US after exchange rates kicked in...that's cheaper than I ever saw it advertized in West Marine or any other store. You might want to check the following Web Adresses for their advertizement. (use page1.jpg for pin plugs and page2.jpg for coax plugs) Good Luck!

Lou, thanks for the lead. These are excellent connectors and I have seven of them on deck on our CD30. Twelve years later and they are still as good as new, no corrosion or connection problems. Good to know of a new source for obtaining them.

I couldn't get the Shamrock Company homepage to load but the Dri-Plug page loads fine. That price you paid is less than half what they were selling for here. How long did it take you to receive them?

The correct URL for Shamrock Chandlery is www.shamrock.co.uk, at least it works on my computer...you'll want to email Johnathan Vulliamy at sales@shamrock.co.uk, since the dri-plug isn't listed on their webpage...after I ordered the plug I wanted, I received it about a week later, not bad for overseas transactions! Good Luck.
