We will be crossing Lake Michigan next weekend on our CD30 then sailing south from Frankfort to our home port in New Buffalo, MI. Our dink is a 9' Seaworthy that stows very nicely inverted on the fore deck,using the spare halyard she launches very easily. In reading the previous posts there seems to be many concerns about transporting dinks. I'm curious, is there a problem with carrying an inflated dink on the deck that I have not thought about?

My question is where do you put it on the foredeck? Do you not have the club footed staysail (the cutter) or if you have the 30 ketch is your headsail not on a jib boom?

Ours is a sloop and there is plenty of room without blocking any lines, it would be a little difficult to get to the anchor quickly but outside of that it should work fine.
