Propane Stove CD30

Post by jbenagh »

I'm thinking of switching out Christine C's Hillerange alcohol stove for propane. The biggest challenge on the CD30 is where to put the tank. I'm thinking of this stern rail mount www.suremarineservice.com/Galley/Propan ... -749A.html
Have any of you used something similar? I think Jim Walsh did and made a Sunbrella or Topgun cover for it.
It looks like the Force10 two burner North American standard is the same size as the Hillerange.

Hey Jeff…
This is the latest version of the rail mount propane tank bracket I have. https://www.suremarineservice.com/Galle ... -749A.html
It’s a fine bracket and has served for many years. At our last winter meeting free raffle I scored a slightly larger tank so I just extended the base to accommodate it. Here’s a couple pictures of the old and new. I have had a Sunbrella cover made for the new tank so it’s now just as neat as the old installation.

Thanks Jim! The photos are great. That's the exact same spot I'm thinking of using.
