The Maritime Mobile Service net monitors from noon to 10 pm EST on 14.300, and they have a good track record of dealing with emergencies.len wrote: weather permitting, i'm heading offshore from boston at the end of the week - ? any of the hams who read this string would like to post or e-mail me frequencies, especially for emergency use - i have a SSB with voice only capability, not morse -

Hi Len
You can also get the a Cruiser's Net at 7268 +/- at 0630 I think. And then there's the Cruisheimers net at 8152 at about 0630. I may be off on my times due to daylight savings.
