Hi
We recently sold our 1985 Nonsuch 26. We are interested in the Cape Dory MK ll. I have been looking at Island Packet 27s and 29, when I read about this Clive Dent design. Any owners who could share their thoughts on this model would be grateful
Thank you

Cape Dory MK ll
Re: Cape Dory MK ll
Had a CD 30 MK2 and loved the boat, but sadly it broke off the mooring in a Northeaster and watched it get shredded for two days on the rocks because I couldn't get anyone to touch it during the storm. I was able to find a CD 330 which I have enjoyed but miss the aft berth and the ease to get under the cockpit on the 30 MK2. It is a beamy boat for 30 feet but a very comfortable boat to sail, but surely needs a decent wind to move her since she is heavy and beamy. If you are not concerned in the speed in which you are moving and there is no serious delamanation, I strongly suggest the boat.
