Anyone had success with a donut Zinc on a 25D? Size?

Hi Pete;
I have used a 'donut zinc' on KARMA with success for two years now; the previous owner also used one...it's sized for a 1" shaft; the diameter is about 3"...the last one was put on in April '99, and it was just changed this april '01 with a little more than 50% consumed...the water is brackish in the Neuse River/Pamlico Sound area; your consumption rate will be different; probably higher in coastal waters.

In lI Sound, I change it every year. I use the 1" size, and am always surprised by how much it's eroded in the fall.
