Names of the Boats that Carl Alberg Personally Owned

Post by MHBsailor »

I recall seeing a list of a dozen or so names of Carl Alberg's boats (can't remember where or if they were just sail, or sail and power). I recall a couple of names were "Whimsy" and (I think) "Caprice". Have any of you seen this list, and if so, could they either provide a link to the source or provide the actual boat names? Thanks!

I googled Alberg designs and found that he has 56 designs in his portfolio. Most of them just are "Alberg" and the length. You can check them out at sailboat data.

To clarify, I'm looking for the names of the boats that Carl Alberg personally owned and operated, not the names of the boats that he designed. I actually received this list once (I recall it had around 12 names) but I can't remember who sent it or locate it now. I updated the thread subject line to be clearer. Thanks again.

This one intrigued me, so I Googled various keywords and phrases. I wouldn't call it an exhaustive search, but I got 20 pages into it and gave up there. If the information exists, it's buried pretty deeply.

Mystic Seaport or the Peabody Essex Museum may be of some help perhaps? Don't the latter have his original drawings?
