Of course. I will try to take some dimensions off my CD27 this weekend and give you some idea of a price.

How about Aluminum, and how many?

Post by Mystic Marine »

The cost of fabricating stainless seems a little high for this application, and anodized or powder-coated aluminum seems more appropriate for the aluminum mast, anyway, so I am going to try to design an aluminum tabernacle instead.

Production costs will decrease, of course, with quantity. I intend to have one made for my boat anyway, but it would be helpful to know how many others are interested. Installation will likely involve drilling one hole in the mast, possibly relocating power cables, and cutting the interior liner to add backing plates for attachment hardware (the four 1/4-20 bolts under the original step don't really seem sufficient).
