Typhoon Hatch Boards

Post by hinmo »

Just bought a Typhoon (previously owned a CD25). What do you call the board(s) that seal off the cabin? Not the sliding hatch on the top, but the board(s) that fit in the slot in the hatchway. I need to replace for next year. I imagine teak will cost more than the boat did. Alternatives? Is there teak plywood? other plywood? or one of the fake woods?
Recommendations?

Thanks
