It appears that the zinc on my 25D is behind a plate that you can't remove without first removing the starter motor. This seems excessive for something that the service manual tells me to inspect frequently.
Does anyone know how to inspect the zinc more easily?
See the two bolts on the left surface, across form the cylinder (starter motor). The second bolt is the cover for the Zinc.
See the yellow-highlighted item.

Re: 25D Zinc Inspection
You don't have to remove the starter - just loosen the alternator and move it out of the way.
Like everything with the 1GM on the 25D, it is a bit of a stretch.
Mine was really ready to be changed.
