OK,
So it's not a Cape Dory, but the Triton is an Alberg design. The Triton website at the link below is one of the most detailed boat rebuild sites I've seen. It's a real trash-to-treasure story, resulting in a gorgeous boat. There are lots of good ideas here and I just thought I'd pass it along.
Enjoy!

Re: Super Site
You're right. It's a neat site. Pearson Tritons are great boats.
Not intending to start an argument or upset CD owners, but ten years ago I owned a CD 30. I sold it. Then I sailed a Montgomery 15 for a while and then bought a Pearson Triton. I then sold the Triton and bought a Westsail 32. Then I sold the W32 and bought back the Triton. The Triton is the best boat of the lot. Not as pretty as a CD30 or quite as romantic as a W32, but it's better built than the CD 30 and also easier to sail. And inch for inch/pound for pound it is better built than the W32. The Triton's hull is every bit as thick and since it (the Triton) has less than half the displacement, it's incredibly strong. (Realizing thickness alone isn't necessarily meaningful.)

Re: Super Site
I really appreciate your introduction to this jewel. I'm just beginning to restore a neglected 25D; this will help.
Thanks, I owe you one!
