LOON Maiden Voyage

Post by Carl Thunberg »

This weekend we had our maiden voyage on Loon. She is all we had hoped for and more! She was launched at Bittersweet Landing Boatyard on Friday. On Saturday we had our shakedown cruise out to Damariscove Island and Pumpkin Island to see the seals.

Can't wait to go back! For the record, we were not actually as close to shore as the seal picture suggests. We have more respect than that. It's a good telephoto lens.

Great looking CD28….you and your family members look very happy….which makes the investment and hard work all worth it. If you look closely even one of the seals gave you the thumbs up!

Damariscotta? I'm about 20 minutes from you, in South Bristol.

I kind of know where you are. I saw the picture of you and the Blue Heron raft up and went looking.

Nice boat Carl. You took your time to find the right boat and it looks like it really paid off.
