Is everyone just stuffing the hatch boards below where they won't rattle and casting off, or has someone made some neat hatch board holder? 'Cloning Around' is still out of the water (ugh) and I still have time to rig something new.

Typhoon hatch board storage ideas?

Re: Typhoon hatch board storage ideas?
I was planning to buy a hatchboard bag from boat us, but I bought so much other stuff for my boat this year, I decided to wait. They seem like they'd solve that problem.

I have a cardboard box full of useful "junk" on the head of the starboard quarter berth (isn't that what quarter berths are for?). It used to keep falling of and emptying its contents on the sole. Now I wedge the hatchboards vertically as a lee board at the edge of the berth, and everything stays put.Serge Zimberoff wrote: Is everyone just stuffing the hatch boards below where they won't rattle and casting off, or has someone made some neat hatch board holder? Don't buy a hatch board cover. It is one of the easiest do it yourself fabric projects. Because it doesn't get sun exposure, almost any fabric you have around the house will do. If you really want to be frugal use the leg bottoms of old jeans.
