Wow, stunning shine! That has to be sprayed on. No way you did that with roll and tipping...

No way. That is really good work! Maybe the best roll and tip job I've seen, at least as far as I can tell from the photos. Please do post photos when she's back afloat.VaCD25 wrote:...it is rolled and tipped, Awlgrip...

I like the "Drive slow, no dust" sign. I've never seen a sign like that before, but it is a good idea. More boatyards should do that. (I assume it belongs to the boatyard, not you.) What yard is is?

Re: CD25 getting paint job
Nice! Your final topcoats look just as good as your first ones: a nice, glossy shine free of blemishes or distortions. I'd love to see a shot of her at anchor once you get her launched.
Smooth sailing,
Jim

Re: CD25 getting paint job
Very nice work. Roll and tip is not a simple application method, I applaud your determination to undertake such a project. The rub rail looks great also.

Thank you all for kind words. New rub rail got some varnish this afternoon. Her name is being applied tomorrow and boatyard is going to shift stands and keel blocks so I can finish the bottom over the weekend.
