I am the proud new owner of a 1981 Typhoon Weekender. This past weekend we took advantage of the beautiful weather in the Northeast for our first long sail.
We realized that a number of the places to which we will daysail (perhaps a few overnights) will require us mooring. This leads to my query...what have other Ty owners used as a dinghy on weekend trips, if anything. And..if you have used a dinghy, how did you store (or tow) it for those longer jaunts.
Thank you in advance for your help, in particular those who contribute on a regular basis. As a someone new to owning a sailboat, this exchange has been invaluable.

How about an inflatable kayak? I can't speak for the quality of these boats as I have never seen one. According to the company's literature they stow in a backpack and they look like they might be fun little boats. I'm going to look into one as a dingy for my CD 25. Here's a weblink... http://www ... ak.com/.
