I just directed a response to an individual posting on this message board and thought I might as well pass along a great sailing site to anyone who has not already discovered it. My absolute favorite place on the web is: http://cruisenews.net
It was here that I found out about the most fantastic sailing video I've ever seen (by a huge margin - THE BEST for single-hand dreamers) Around the World with Jean-du-Sud by Yves Gelinas (the Cape Horn vane steering devise creator).
If anyone knows of other great sites (or videos), I've shown you mine; now you show me yours (so to speak).

For a wealth of information concerning boat surveys, engines, motor mounts, and hours of wonderful reading, try www.yachtsurvey.com. David Pascoe has written over a hundred articles on all sorts of boat related material-and its all free.

Cruisenews is a great site. Here's one that I use often, www.marinewaypoints.com. The "gear and equipment" page is very useful.

Now a question: Where did you find the Around the World video with Jean-du-Suud? I looked but couldn't find it.

Thanks, Robert

Here's the links - the page is buried in the website pretty deep.
