TotalBoat Halcyon water-based varnish

Post by jen1722terry »

Has anyone tried TotalBoat Halcyon water-based varnish?

I've always shied away from water-based exterior varnish, but the product has gotten some nice reviews.

As we'll be tripping our exterior teak in the spring in the iffy Maine weather, we thought this fast drying product would allow us to get the necessary coats on during the limited nice days.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

I used this varnish on my interior table in my CD 270 and was very pleased with the products especially the ease of use and short period between coats. I used the Amber and plan to use the clear on other woodwork. Hope this helps.

sounds interesting .. especially the quick dry feature with no sanding .. hopefully it doesn't dry too fast. says it is compatible with regular varnish.
