I have a CD 36 mast (no boom) and standing rigging for sale. The mast is straight with no dings or bends. The mast has some corrosion on bottom six inches. Mast has been stored outside for 15 years. Needs sanding priming and painting.
Spreaders have been stored inside.
Also have a complete set of standing rigging minus headstay, also stored inside.
I plan to dispose of all the above before I head offshore in late Nov.
If you want it, make an offer. Otherwise I'm selling it for scrap value.

It would make a really nice flag pole.

Yes it would. Also a derrick for a crane to lift the mast if I had a slip behind my house...sadly I don't have one.
What I really want is to build a two story house on a 35' wide by 100' steel barge. A couple skiffs along one side. Secure the Far Reach on the other side. Anchor this barge up the South River or the Bay River...a tributary to the Neuse. Solar panels. Wind generator. Satellite dish for internet. Green house. Water maker. Work shop. Etc. Totally off grid. A waterborne base of operations. My version of Water World.
You could do a lot with a 48' long T6061 aluminum spar for something like that.... I'd probably keep it but it has become what might be described as a negotiating tool.
Alas....

Maybe you should reclassify it as "raw material"?John Stone wrote:I'd probably keep it but it has become what might be described as a negotiating tool.

Yep. It's about to become raw material for the scrap yard.
