Went out to the shipping channel, lots of boats out. We got quite the work out changing sails, from all sails up to just the stay and two reefs in the main.

Thought I'd share a couple photos from my weekend. . I've been holed up in gale force winds at Little Scorpion Cove Santa Cruz Island. . The land heals itself. Last year this side of the island was burnt.. Going home last weekend in light winds. Doing 7 kts in 8-10 kt winds. I love California. I don't care what everyone says about it.

I have lived all over the country. I lived four years in SOCAL. Gorgeous. I loved the three years we lived in Montana best. But no question California was the most beautiful and had the most to offer. If money were no object I would live there in a second.

I don't think that it is the shear beauty that everyone does not like. LOL
