I’m am unabashedly proud of the American Flag and what it represents. We are not perfect. We have fallen on our ass a few times. We don’t always get it right. We have some heavy internal issues we need to resolve. But, I’d say given all our human foibles and self centered desires and sometime self destructiveness we get it better than everyone else by a long shot. I have carried the American Flag into battle, but I am not a stickler for precise flag etiquette. I don’t care if it’s too small or too big or not perfectly proportioned. I don’t care if you fly it at night without illumination. I’m always happy to see it up and stretched out in the breeze like a beacon of hope, humanity, freedom, and liberty. I think I only get annoyed when I see it abused—badly shredded, soiled, upside down, handling by one grommet, hanging on the ground, sat on or just generally disrespected in an obvious way. I say fly Ol Glory the best way you can. I will always salute that.

That is the "Shorty" version of a flag. A 24" hoist should be 45.6" for the Fly dimension. 1x1.9 is the correct ratio for an American Flag.[/quote]

I made a mistake I got 16 x 24. I guess your saying 16 x 1.9= 30. so 30 would be correct. Oh Well. I'm with JS. It's fine for me

It is perfectly fine. Any respectful display of the American flag is ok with me. I was just pointing out that many quality flags are available and, if you are willing to pay a premium, quality flags are available in all sizes short and standard, cheap flags are not available in standard 1x1.9 size.

JD, that is the price for a 20 foot x 30 foot flag! I paid $28.00 for ours plus about $8.00 or so for shipping. the total bill was under $40.00
