Has anyone done this? I am in the process of designing one for my Harmony. Would love to hear suggestions/advice. TIA!

As in a tabernacle to lower your mast?

I've never done this but I've crewed an boat that had one. The design was set that shrouds would not have to be adjusted... but the implementation failed to meet those specs and it was a pain to loosen and and retighten the shrouds properly. This tabernacle was only designed to lower the mast just enough to clear bridges that had only 45 foot clearance. The electric anchor windlass was the only way we got the mast upright after bridge clearance.

It was never fun and always scary!

I have seen several designs where the mast is hinged several feet above deck level. That method would lighten the load when raising the mast.
