I would add this to his "WHITE VAPOR" symptom.

One of the causes of "White Vapor" in the exhaust is unburned, but atomized diesel fuel..as in when you are trying to start my Volvo MD7B before rebuilding. There would be a cloud of white vapor coming out. The darn engine was too cold and too low in compression.

Anyone know a good Volvo troubleshooter?

Post by Geoff Safron »

I haven't yet read through Dr. Diesel's stuff yet, but I notice that Volvo isn't one of the mfrs he/they stock parts for; I've been trying to solve an exasperating air-in-the-fuel problem for four years now with my MD7A; the engine itself is probably blameless; but I've replaced just about every piece of the fuel system, and still get air percolating into the primary filter after 2+ hours of motoring...any leads to offer?
