Slide car for traveler

Post by robwm »

Looking to find a slide car for traveler on my CD22. The attached pic shows the slide car in place. There is a ss link inside the spring loaded portion of the car that has become very thin and I am afraid might go without warning. If any of you have replaced such a car and are willing to part with it please let me know and what you'd like to get for it. I am trying to avoid having to replace the whole traveler. Thanks

Robert

I had a very similar issue with the car on KAYLA's mainsheet traveler. I emailed Schaefer with a couple of pics showing the wear. They got back to me saying the part was longer available, BUT... they would make something to replace it with at a very reasonable price!

It looks like Rig-Rite still has them. I have found them very easy to deal with. Dennis

Great! Had not even thought of them. They do indeed have them. Thanks for the tip/reminder!
