After the remnants of Delta (40-50 kts) blew through Nantucket Sound on Monday I was sailing on Tuesday and while about 8 kms out of port I noticed something in my peripheral vision approaching. It was a small bird that landed on my stern rail and hitch hiked with me back to my mooring. S/he got a free ride and I think much needed rest. You just never know what might happen on the water which is of course why we all love it.
