Are you positive it isn't on the boat somewhere? It took me a long time to find the emergency tiller on my former CD30C. I ultimately found it in the aft cockpit locker in a mounting bracket mounted high on the transom. I had to really crane my neck to see it.

I'll check and see if I still have it, I may have thrown it out already. I'll look tonight. You can have it for the shipping if I find it. It was perfect. Dennis

I'm sorry, already scrapped it and don't have a picture. Just a very heavy piece of pipe with an angled piece on it and a key way welded inside. I think someone on here has posted a diagram or measurements for it. The shaft is 1 1/8 and the key way is 1/4 inch. Dennis

If you are going to make one consider a break down arrangement.
I used to stow mine at the bottom of the cockpit locker. Not very accessible if you were to need it in a hurry and I used to have to put a fresh coat of paint on it every year. I finally cut off the tiller side, just leaving a short stub. Then I turned a White Oak tiller that fits into the stub. I put clips in the hanging locker so the two parts are now very easy to get to if they are ever needed. The steel part doesn't get rusty anymore and all is well in the world.
I don't understand why anyone would get rid of a critical piece of emergency equipment,
Steve.

Forgot to mention the boat has a Edson pedestal
I looked again under and behind the cockpit floor and it’s not there

I FOUND IT!
It's yours if you want it, just pay for the actual shipping. It will not go in a "if it fits it ships box" So shipping could be pricy. However if I cut it in half it will fit and the shipping would be about 22$. I could cut is at a convenient place so you could make it a two piece. Let me know what you want to do. Dennis
