Where is Bristol Bronze?

Post by gadecker »

I finally need to get some replacement hardware for a CD 10 and knew that Bristol Bronze was the place. Unfortunately, thought the website still exists, all forms of contact go unanswered. I've even submitted an order with no response. Does anyone know how to get in contact with them? Or, have they sold the business? I can't seem to find out. 600 miles is a long way to drive to knock on the door!

Here's a post I found on another forum from 2016... Looks like they may be gone?

Good riddance to them. Horrible reputation. I have heard nothing but complaints about them for over a decade.

Took me nearly a year to get the builders plaque from them. I even found their building in Tiverton R.I I live in RI so it was not much of a drive. Building looked abandoned and in poor state of repair.
Finally did get the plaque but it is not the same size as the original plastic plaque and I hand to get it engraved with the hull #. Quality was only acceptable, not great.
Website shows some nice product, but if the business still exists, it's only marginal.

Jon at Spartan Marine Hardware (http://spartanmarine.com) was most helpful. While he didn't have the part that i was after, he did locate it in stock with another source - Hamilton Marine (http://hamiltonmarine.com). It's not often that you find someone that truly offers "customer service" the old-fashioned way.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions. They are much appreciated.
