Tiller installation nearly complete

I have only a few more steps to finish the tiller installation project. This spring I added the coupling which I purchased from Edson along with the 8" shaft extension. I then added a teak block which I had fashioned over the winter with a fiberglass tube epoxied into it. The tiller itself I made this winter and I found a tiller head and the collars at consignment shops. I fiberglassed over the old pedestal hole and then screwed the block down. I taped and then Kiwi Gripped the whole cockpit. I bought a motor control from Seastar and installed it and connected the cables to the motor. The gear shift cable would budge so I ended up buying a new one. Of course the control had a maximum cockpit wall thickness of 12mm. I'll be damned if the cockpit wall was very close to this. All thats left to do is install the chart plotter. I have cut the hole in the bulkhead where it will be and reran all the wires. Who would have thought the bulkhead wall would be almost 1/2" thick fiberglass followed by 1/4" liner and then plywood. Hopefully the pictures are here.
