Source for Bronze Flat Head Machine Screws

Hello,

So after removing my 3/4" seacock to service it and replace the backing plate, I am having trouble finding 3" bronze flat head machine screws (bolts) to reinstall it. Is anyone aware of a good source for them? No trouble finding bolts, which would leave hex heads protruding from the bottom. How bad would it be to use stainless on the bronze spartan seacock?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

I used hundreds if not thousands of bronze bolts and fasteners in the Far Reach during the rebuild.

The two sources that come to mind are top notch fasteners and bolt depot.

The key is to find a source for buying in bulk and then a source for buying small numbers of screws bolts washers and nuts.

Try those two and get comfortable with their websites.

Macmaster-Car has brass stuff, I don't know about bronze.

I second the recommendation for Bolt Depot. Easy website to navigate and they are pretty quick on the delivery. I have not compared prices, however. I just assume bronze hardware is expensive.

Yet another recommendation for Bolt Depot. They ship quickly, prices are reasonable, and they have almost anything you could want. I use them because I can get 316 stainless hardware which is hard to find in stores (most is 18-8) and it's a lot easier on my brain then trying to pick out dozens of individual pieces of hardware at Fawcett's.

Speaking of wooden schooners, does anyone have an update on "Oswego John" (OJ)? We haven't heard from him for a really long time. Come to think of it, where is Roberto? Sorry for the thread drift.
