Looking to buy a trailer for Cape Dory Typhoon
Looking to buy a trailer for Cape Dory Typhoon
I have a 1981 Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender at the Washington Sailing Marina, in DC, and considering buying a trailer for when my slip lease ends at the end of March. The trailer would be used for road transport and storage of the boat (launch and recovery at a ramp not necessary). Any suggestions welcome. Thank you.

There are many compliments about Alan Stewart on this board. He would be a good choice.
You may also want to consider Triad Trailers in Raleigh, North Carolina. Their build quality is excellent and the owner, Mike Orro, is a pleasure to work with. https://www.triadtrailers.com/
I purchased a trailer from Mike. It was a very easy and pleasant experience. Triad trailers probably cost a little more than others but as they say "you get what you pay for".
Good luck

As an update, Alan Stewart has sold me a trailer, so I'm no longer looking for one. I don't quite have it yet due to the shutdown. Alan's been very helpful in providing valuable insights into the trailer sailor experience.
