Just wondering if anyone here has a CD22.We are new owners and are refitting her.The new paint job will be finished this weekend.Our new rigging has arrived last week and we are about ready to put her back together and go sailing.
And anyone who has had experience with the 22 and how they use her I am interrested in hearing from you.The maiden voyage will be to the Bahamas for a week the the second week of May.

i don't have a cd 22 (but did own a 23 foot boat for about 6 years) and i haven't sailed to the bahamas (from florida ??) but i wouldn't try a passage like that until i had sailed the boat a lot under varying conditions - i would be too nervous -

The CD22 is a small boat when the waves pile up. Though I haven't sailed in the Gulf Stream, I have made headway in my CD22 against 3'-4' waves in Vineyard Sound. It wasn't comfortable.
