Repair and repaint deck on my cd 27

Starting stripping deck to repair and repaint. The question I have is regarding the factory non skid bumps. I would like to preserve them and was wondering how to get the paint off without sanding them down. I have some environmentally safe paint rep over ( Citric from Home Depoptr) that I will be trying.

The previous owner had painted the entire deck including these non skid panels.

Work to be completed is repairing any stress cracks and repainting entire deck

I think you will have a hard time preserving these. Kiwi Grip works very well and you probably don't even need to strip the old paint if it's adhering pretty well.
