Hello Again,
Does anyone have any ideas that can help my wife and I with I guess abit of refit in the salon area in which to make a bit more useful in the areas of the galley. We realize the space is limited.
Like I had said in an other message we just purchased the boat one month ago and she is going though a total refit. The deck has been totally stripped of all hardware even the toe and rubrails they were so badly destroyed.she recieves her new paint in one week. The hull will be Marlin Blue and here decks to be Insigina White.
What was done in the forward V was slats were removed sanded varnished and the teck redone plus overhead was repainted she is looking great.New covers for the v berth also.
Now we need some help on finding what will work in the salon, the only two things at this point desided on is the sink will be abit larger and a electric water pump added. We discussed refrigeration not having a engine except an outboard it will be very differcult for battery operated refrig. so at this point we are looking at the possiblity of refrig with propane.Does any one have any ideas.
And the best news of all is we recieved back our new stays and shroulds from the company that still makes them for Cape Dory. Also I spoke to Cape Dory orginal sales man and tracked the first owner. And the new name of the boat will be "Absolute Wonder"
Thanks and any help Excepted
Joe

Propane refrigerators are not installed on boats because they have to be ABSOLUTELY level to operate. If you do the math, I expect you'll find that the power drain of a marine refrigerator presents a difficult obstacle to overcome given the electrical system on your boat.
