Contact Robinhood marine, perhaps Andre remembers why there is a apparent discrepancy in numbering.

My 1970 Ty is #74. I know that there was a big redesign of the cabin and cockpit around that time. Maybe they started over.

Erik,
There are three different versions of the Typhoon: the Typhoon Daysailer, Weekender, and Senior.
Perhaps the numbering has to do with the version as well as the year of manufacture?

Re: Typhoon numbering- lack of response
I recently bought a 1980(based on VIN nrb/1981 by NJ title) Typhoon daysailor and it is nbr 48 according to the mfrs plaque. I know they made far fewer daysailors than weekenders, so I'm assuming that by 1980 they were only up to nbr 48 for the daysailor.Erik wrote: So no one is going to answer me?
