" Leoma" underway w/ spinakers

Post by JD-MDR »

I'm getting the hang of it. winds 8-10 kt. and GPS says I'm going 4.5 mph-5.5mph. There was a pole onboard I think its called a reaching strut. I tried to user it like a whisker pole and broke it. The cast endpiece snapped and the ring on the mast got twisted. A few months ago Cathy M asked for photos of CD 30"s . I thought I could jump off in the dinghy to get the shot. but what if the outboard stalled and the boat got away. I better not do that. Some day I'll get someone to help me. All my friends and relatives are a bunch of wimps. Nobody has energy to do anything. My Dad likes to go and always has energy but he turned 88 last month. Last time We tried to go to Catalina island but it got rough so we went to Paradise cove at the north end of Malibu. It was rock and rolly all night. Sorry we have such nice weather. Will someone please tell me why my photos are so big?

Good for your effort! You might try to visit a local yacht club and find some possible crew. Spinnakers need good crew work. Not sure about your pictures , someone will hopefully have a answer.Good luck...

I believe the website sizes your photo based on its resolution. High resolution photos display large.

Thanks to both of you. I didn't think of the yacht club because I don't drink. But I'm sure I can order the Arnold Palmer drink. I guess I think of the yacht clubs as bars. I have years of bad memories in the bars of Alaska. Some one told me that I need to adjust the (resolution?) or something like that, on my phone to change the size of the photos.
