Cape Dory 25D For Sale
Cape Dory 25D For Sale
This is a well maintained, sturdy, Carl Alberg designed boat. Yanmar 1GM diesel engine burns one quart per hour and is hand crank-able. New engine mounts, cutlass bearing, shaft and prop have been installed. Sails are good to excellent with a new sail cover.
LOA 25 ft, Displacement 5120 lbs, Draft 3.5 ft, Ballast 2050 lbs, 120 roller furled jib, fuel 15 gal, Water 20 gal, Mast height 33 ft, Fuel filter & Water separator, Bruce anchor with rode, Electric bilge pump, Autopilot, Whisker pole, Bimini, Swim ladder, Gas stove Installed but original alcohol stove available, Ice box, Bronze ports, Screens for windows & hatches, LED lighting, Engine and boat manuals, spare zincs, filters, belts etc.
This boat is in great shape and all ready to do some serious cruising. Additional pictures upon request. Boat is located in Fairhope, AL on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay.
In response to several queries, I’ll try to add some more detail. There are a some jel coat cracks around the anchor well, stanchions, etc, Frankly, if I were going to keep the boat, I would probably paint the deck and maybe recover the cushions to give her a “like new” appearance. But she is mechanically and structurally totally sound. I mean it when I say she is ready for serious cruising. She does not have blisters. I have detailed photos of the haul out which was done two months ago showing the hull prior to painting. I had a bit of trouble adding more pictures to the post but there are more available at: https://www.sailboatlistings.com/view/75504
Asking $19,500

Re: Cape Dory 25D For Sale
Amen on the reading. She looks like a great boat with some upgrades. Can you describe the condition of the deck and hull with respect to cracking, blisters etc. Paint and brightwork look good, but can't tell much from 1 pic. Does she have the stock 1 cyl Yanmar?
Thanks, Mike
Thanks, Mike

Oops, scratch the question about the Yanmar!

Re: Cape Dory 25D For Sale
I have a very nice 1985 Cape Dory Typhoon Sr. that I am preparing for sale. Would you be interested in a trade + situation?
