From there I continued cleaning.
Then I sanded the gel coat a bit to lessen some of the gelcoat crazing.
I then washed down with interlude 202 Fiberglass Solvent Wash.
I then Interlux Interprotect 2000e barrier coated the entire hull. Started filling in the gelcoat crazing nicely.
Then I had to figure out the waterline. No time to dip the boat so best efforts!
I then put down above the waterline bright sides white.
Because I passed the window for bottom paint overcoating on the inter protect and didn't want to sand to activate it,
I added 2 more bottom coats of Interprotect 2000e in 4 hours apart and then I bottom painted 4 hours later.
I used Pettit Vivid Hybrid anti-fouling Green a classic whitehall look!
I put 2 coats of that on.
I am now sanding the mahogany, old varnish is jumping off!
Was going to use Captains Varnish but went with Starbrite Teak Oil Sealer Natural Light.
Just put a coat on last night while boat was still upside down on the bottom of the rub rail.
Next I can flip over and do the wood and wooden seat leaving the rest of the inside for another year.
After all this work I hope she keeps my bottom dry at 250 pounds!
This dog better hunt. Will now add sequential pictures from my phone.
Hope they come out alright, the sail pictures above all came out sideways but not in the preview window!

Just putting the finishing touches on my North Salem barn find, a first year production 1964 Whitehall styled Cape Dory 14 Rowing Sailing Skiff. That’s the original sail and wooden battens that Jimmy did his magic with as far as stains. Thanks to all I pestered with questions. Took a picture of the classic wine glass transom, looking a bit astonished. All in a good 30 foot paint job! Still one thing left to do. I’m sure someone will catch it.

Renovations complete on the 1964 Cape Dory 14 the mini-me dory for my CD25. Figured out a double topping lift with a cinch cleat that can act as a lazy jack so one can row it. Perfect day for it. Steve Loudon and I headed over to the flats at Green Fly Island by the Lindy Cut on The Great South Bay on Long Island. Boat performed great, sailor so-so. Sailed well with both of us, stable boat with its leaded swing keel!
