After beating myself up pretty bad and buying two different hoses that wouldn't fit. I found a Gates Radiator style hose that will fit perfectly with only cutting off about three inches. It is the Gates 23233 and is available on Amazon Prime. It fits snuggly on the seacock and scupper barb and should last many years. I will add some fireproof hose cover in the area where it comes close to the exhaust elbow on the engine.
After feedback from more experienced sailors on the board I will replace the radiator style hose with a thicker wire reinforced hose. I am going to try a Coast Guard approved hose built by HBD Thermoid called Bellowsflex.

Did you replace the portside hose as well If so, what part number (if different)
Does anyone know if the positioning of the scupper seacocks and drains on the CD 27 is identical or at least similar to the positioning on the CD 25D

Re: CD27 Starboard scupper hose.
Hi Roberto,
I didn't replace the port side one as it still looked it in good shape. I think the starboard one being close the to the exhaust elbow shortened its life. I checked the Gates hose against the port hose and it looks like it would fit just as well. On the 27 the port side one seems easier to fit and a straight hose might work.
Best,

Was a marine grade hose considered before a radiator hose was decided upon? My presumption is that your seacock is below the waterline.

Re: CD27 Starboard scupper hose.
Just one person's opinion here, but that is a mission critical hose---is the Gates hose wire reinforced?
I replaced the same one last year (port and starboard sides), and decided on Shields wire-reinforced wet exhaust hose (marine). Yes, it costs a fortune by the foot at West Marine, and the repair is no fun pretzeling yourself into the lazarette. But it is very thick and durable. On the advice of MaineSail, I secured it with double stainless AWAB hose clamps. They are also expensive, but they very high quality.
My rationale was that I wanted the strongest, most durable hose I could buy if it was going to be relied on for keeping it ocean out. Just my thoughts.

Re: CD27 Starboard scupper hose.
The other gentleman here have a ton more experience than I so I will try again to replace the fitted hose with a marine type hose.
Safety first, safety second safety always.
HBD Thermoid makes a great wire reinforced marine hose called Bellowsflex. It is great for making tough bends and is Coast Guard approved. I am going to buy a length of that and go back to work on it.
