CD28 fuel fills

I own a CD 28 flybridge 1990 hull #202 with a Volvo 200 hp diesel. My port and starbord fuel fill openings are not wide enough to accomodate the fuel nozzel from a marine fuel dock pump. Our fittings are original equipment, are bronze and I think are Perko. Has anybody replaced these with a larger diameter fitting? I am considering doing this soon. Does anybody have any suggestions?
