Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
Wanted to buy. Trailer for CD25
Re: Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
Hello, I have a trailer in the Annapolis, MD, area that I'm thinking of posting for sale. It's a good quality double-axle, steel galvanized trailer that can be easily modified to accommodate a sailboat in the size range of a CD 25. It can be used for launch and retrieval. Please let me know if you'd like more information. Thank you.
Re: Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
Yes, I am interested. I live in southern Delaware so Annapolis is very workable. Could you possibly send some pictures? Do you have a price in mind?
Re: Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
Tomorrow morning, Saturday, April 14, I plan to take pictures. The trailer is at a marina in Mayo, Maryland. It's a 2005 Performance trailer with Virginia title. The boat supports are fully adjustable. Right now, it has 4 pads on each side, but I have the hardware (except wooden boards) to convert it back to bunks. The tongue is extendable. It also has a bow post with ladder, winch, and adjustable mast crutch. The asking price is $2,700.00 obo. I have a potential buyer for it, whom I will be meeting Saturday morning.

Here are a couple pictures taken on April 14.

I am very interested. Is it still available?
Re: Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
Yes, the trailer is still available. Thank you for your interest.
Re: Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
When can we meet at the trailer? I'm flexible. Do you know the length and weight capacity of it? What was on trailer previously?
Re: Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
Sent you an email through the the Cape Dory Board about meeting around noon this Saturday at the boatyard where the trailer is and gave a few more details in answer to your questions. Did you receive the email? Thank you.

Did not get an email

Just sent another email...
Re: Wanted to buy- trailer CD25
Here are answers to your earlier questions (included in email):
I would guess it's between 25 and 30 feet long. This Saturday I will be at the boatyard where the trailer is and can measure it then.
The previous owner said it could handle up to 9,000 pounds, which is what's on the title. Realistically, it's probably more 6,000 pounds. There's a metal
plate on the tongue that gives the actual ratings, but right now I don't have a copy of what it says.
The previous owner had an S2 7.3 on it (using bunks). I had a Precision Seaforth 24 on it (using pads). The S2 is 3250 pounds with a 4 foot draft. The
Seaforth is 4200 pounds with a 2.5 foot draft.
