curtain hardware

Post by JD-MDR »

I have the tracks above each of the portholes . Does anyone know where I can get the slides so I can make new curtains?

Thanks Jean, I haven't looked them up before. Looks good. I might try them for my sailcovers etc. do you know if their dodgers are very good? I was considering Iversons. John D /MDR

John, If I was looking for a new dodger and money wasn't scarce, I'd go for a quality fabricator. Iversons has
a good reputation, from what I've seen on the internet.
The sailrite dodger kits are okay if you don't mind multiple piece bows screwed together and are able to
pattern and sew. From my little experience trying to make a bimini, it's tricky trying to get the middle and
corners of the fabric at equal tension and eliminate wrinkles. But that's how you learn - making mistakes. I've
been following your posts and am impressed. Good luck - Jean

I found it. Wow! Sailrite really has everything. They have detailed instruction videos on how to make anything. I'm also gonna make a cover for my new windlass. On my previous boat some of the canvass parts had a vinyl underliner to help keep out water. It seems like a good idea. When I bought this boat there was a lot of raIn water trapped and the sails were realy moldy.
