Don't forget to snap some photos while you work on that boat project, then share them here.

Detachable Forestay

Post by John Stone »

We searched for a forestay release lever without success for quite some time. We finally came up with one that we like. It's simple to make. It's inexpensive. It's super strong. And it's quick and easy to use. We have documented it on our new website http://www.farreachvoyages.wordpress.com.

It cost us about $70 to make though we already had the dynex-dux forestay. If you are contemplating incorporating a detachable forestay, perhaps it will give you some ideas or at least serve as a starting point.
