CD 10 Light blue interior paint: does anybody know specs?

Post by GPWINSTON »

I'm back to working on my CD 10 and have reached a point where getting it painted is not that far off in the future. The interior of my boat has chipped medium-blue paint, with a much lighter shade of blue showing through at the chipped areas. I'd like to prep, then re-finish the interior with a paint/color/texture that's correct. Does anybody know if there's a currently available paint that will match the OEM light blue interior paint? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I've had good success with interlux bright sides. Here is a link to their color charts http://images.jamestowndistributors.com ... rge/64.jpg

You may have more luck if you start a new thread. GPWINSTON last visited the forum a year and eight months ago.

Do not use Brightsides where it will get or stay wet! It says, right on the can, that it should never be used below the water line. That applies to bilge water as well and it will blister if it is wet for any length of time. I have used the stuff of top side paint and it comes out beautiful. I once painted a bit below the water line with a first coat on a dinghy and that all pealed off. I have had it blister on a sea kayak that was left sitting on the lawn for a week and have the sme thing happen when a seat cushion was left on the painted surface. Interlux is not kidding when they say not to use it below the water line and they should go on to say, anywhere it might stay wet for more that a day or so, Steve.
