I've had my boat a little over two years. Bought it July 2015.
I almost immediately applied for a CoD in my name.
Wasn't issued until October and expired Oct 31, 2016.
Last year I applied for renewal a little early and it was issued in September and expired 0ctober 31, 2017 (or would expire on that date).
This year after almost falling for the scam I applied on line with USCG Vessel Documentation.
Got the new CoD over the weekend and it was issued in August and expires August 31, 2018.
So by applying early I lost two months.
