I need a new rudder for a cape dory typhoon. Does anyone make replacement parts or will I have to get it fabricated myself? Thanks in advance for any help.

Randy:
I don't know of anyone who makes replacements. Is the original damaged, or missing? If the original still exists (even if it is badly damaged), or you can get your hands on another, we can make a mold and make you a new rudder (and then, there will be someone who makes replacements).

I think a "rubber" is a mis-spelling of a "rudder". A rudder is the blade that sticks down in the water at the rear of a boat and steers it.MR wrote: I'm interested is buying a typhoon, but I don't now anything about them, so here goes-----Whats a rubber?
