Typhoon #249 on the mend

Post by John Birmingham »

Typhoon "Hope", hull number 249, was lifted out of the woods where she sat for a very long time. The original owner put her away and never got her back in the water. I'm hoping to get him out on the Bohemia River in the spring where he sailed her off a mooring for years.

I stopped at the car wash on the way home and began the clean up.

Thanks to Alan for explaining how to get a trailer organized.

Good luck with the restoration - post some pics when you get a chance. It is certainly worth the effort as I really enjoy sailing my restored wreck of a Typhoon. She looks great and sails so nicely but the best part are the compliments whenever people motor, canoe or sail by and look at this fine boat - either while she is tied at the dock or under sail :D .
