Wanted: winch handle

Post by hinmo »

my "new" 74 CD25 did not come with any winch handles (the old flat slot style). Does anyone have one or more they could sell me?

I have one I'd be willing to part with - it's in decent shape. My email is Bocaturabank@yahoo.com...

Still looking for an old school winch handle 74 CD25...its the flat bar style. I bought one on ebay and it was too large (tough to grind, aluminum)

Anyone have one or a source?

thanks

What winches do you have? There were many different sized handles for many different manufacturers. Marine Consignment of Mystic Ct. has several sitting on the shelf. Call them at 860-245-0588 to confirm. You would have to know precisely what handle you seek.

not sure how to tell
I will measure opening dimensions of the winch handle opening on the winch, and measure the one I bought and didnt fit.

Were not all 1974 CD25s equipped with one model?

thx

I have no idea. That's a good question for you to post on the "Cape Dorys" section of the forum. Someone may know precisely which winches were standard.

Hi John. I have a winch like that from a '74 CD25 another user sent me. My "new" '76 has the more typical style of winch so I'd be happy to send it your way if you still need it.
