Commemorative Coins are in the mail

Post by Steve Kuhar »

A special coin, commemorating the CDSOA and Cape Dory Yacht Corporation is being mailed to all members, along with your 2017 membership cards. 180 of the coins were mailed yesterday, and we are processing and mailing in batches of 60 for best printing economy. If you want to get yours in the next batch get your dues in promptly, all annual memberships expire on 31 December.

We think that Bill Slater did a great job in designing the coin and carrying out the project. Please let us know what you think when you get your coin.

I'm thinking a permanent mounting in the cabin. Location to be determined.

The second batch of membership cards and coins are going in the mail tomorrow, it includes all members who's dues were received through 28 December. We will be out of town for the next two weeks, and we are hoping to get out a third batch as soon as we get back, so if your haven't done so yet, please get your check in the mail.

Thanks,

To answer the last two questions; We purchased enough coins for one per member and a sufficient reserve for new members who join in 2017 to also receive one. At this time there is no plan to have any additional coins cast, but we may consider an additional order at a later time.

Thanks,
Steve Kuhar
